Working primarily in black and white, I use light, shadow and texture to create fine art photographs that explore the relationship between people, place and memory. Every image is created with the hope that, for just a moment, the viewer will stop, reflect and see something they hadn't noticed before.

I am P Scotter, a Scottish fine art photographer with a passion for discovering the extraordinary in places that are often overlooked.
Photography has become a way of slowing down and looking beyond the obvious. Rather than searching for iconic landmarks or postcard views, I am drawn to quiet coastlines, industrial heritage, weathered structures and the subtle details that reveal a place's history and character.
Working primarily in black and white, I use light, shadow and texture to simplify a scene and create photographs that encourage people to pause, take a second look and form their own emotional connection with the image.
Every photograph represents time spent observing rather than simply recording. My aim is not just to document a location, but to create artwork that captures atmosphere, memory and a sense of place.
I hope my work encourages others to discover beauty in places they may otherwise have passed by.
